This is not the first incident CL has had dealing with on stage costumes. CL wore
a colorful jacket over a swimsuit on her "The Baddest Female" stage held on June 9th. People lashed back saying that the outfit she was wearing made it look like she only had underwear on and that the outfit itself was too revealing for a main broadcasting channel. Some people even said it made them feel uncomfortable just watching her on Tv.
Of course, CL did have her fans on her side. Most fans said that there was nothing wrong with CL's outfit choice and that they've seen other Pop stars wear similar outfits as well. When CL was asked about her outfit choice in an interview, she said "I just wear anything as long as it looks cool or it looks pretty".
The KOCSC gave a firm warning to SBS' Inkigayo due to CL's outfit choice on June 9th.
SBS' Kim Yong Kwon tried to plead with the KOCSC and said that he had no excuse for not reviewing the outfit more carefully, but he just couldn't argue with YG Entertainment's choice on CL's outfit since they are a powerful company. It was later decided that taking legal action would just be "too much".
