2NE1's new song 'Falling in Love' was a fun, summer, and feminine song which is the exact opposite of the usual 2NE1 style that shows fierce, crazy, and tough girls.
In their recent interviews, 2NE1 explained that they're not actually changing as a group, they're just showing off another side of themselves. They said the feminine choreography was quite difficult for them because they weren't used to it.
Minzy said that up until this point she always showed a tomboy style, so she thought it'd be nice to change her image into a cute one for her fans to see.
So, why did 2NE1 choose 'Falling in Love' as their comeback song? 2NE1 says because it was their favorite song and it really had a summer feel to it. 2NE1 also covered their upcoming appearance in 'Running Man' in the same interview.
The group also hinted towards what their next single coming out next month will sound like. The girls said that they plan to take on various genres of music.
